What a True Landscaping Transformation Involves
A full landscaping project in Northeast Ithaca, NY is not simply a matter of placing plants around a yard. Professional landscape installation begins well before the first plant enters the ground. Our design process starts with a detailed site survey that maps sun exposure patterns throughout the day, evaluates soil drainage and structure, notes existing utilities and structures that constrain placement, and documents the views from key interior windows and outdoor living areas. These factors are integrated into a landscape plan that is functional, visually balanced, and appropriate for the specific conditions of your Northeast Ithaca, NY property.
Kelly Landscaping's installation crews handle every phase of the project from initial ground preparation through final cleanup. Proper site prep includes removing unwanted vegetation, amending soil as needed based on test results, establishing grades that direct water away from structures and toward intended drainage areas, and setting edging systems that create clean separation between lawn and planting areas. Our plant installation crews follow horticultural best practices for spacing, depth, and post-installation watering that give every plant the best possible start.
The plants we source come from regional nurseries that grow varieties proven to perform in Northeast Ithaca, NY's specific climate zone. We do not install plants that look attractive in the nursery but struggle to establish in local conditions. Every landscape design includes a full plant list with mature sizes noted so clients understand exactly how the space will evolve over the first three to five years of establishment.
